Default Suspension fitment for 18" rims

Hi guys,

Apologies if this has been covered a thousand times but it's a specific question. I've just ordered a set of 18" Rota D1 rims for my ap1 S2k. I couldn't afford the Works rims but these look very similar to 95% of Joe Public .

I'm just wondering what suspension everyone here recommends so I can get rid of that roller skate look? I'm not going to be tracking the car or doing a lot of hard driving as it's my weekend car, so don't want anything too stiffly sprung (like some coilovers). In fact a decent shock absorber and spring setup would do the trick for me as long as it sat nicely.

Do the arches on s2k's typically need rolled for 18s or is it entirely dependent on the choice of suspension and spring rates?

Cheers

Gaz

More replies will come now

Trouble is with 18" wheels is they mean your tyre cushioning is now minimal, so you need to go careful on the suspension choice for fear of ruining the handling further.

Any reason you went for 18" and not 17"

I once had 18" and they looked shocking

Hmmm I'm having second thoughts now. I looked at quite a lot of S2000 galleries here and most of the wheels I liked looked to be 18" .....

They look ok in size but I guess they are 18"

Take away all the body kit and they might look bigger.

I like OEM
