Swiftcover have a very bad reputation for customer service should you have a claim. Also look at the excess they've quoted you, usually higher than with Tesco. Also see things like courtesy cars, legal expenses cover etc etc.

Thanks, i've already emailed them about excesses - they only show the voluntary, not the compulsory. I'm concerned about the service aspect, but it's quite a huge saving. Any decent companies promise to beat quotes at the moment? I know Privilege used to.

As far as i can see, you use their recommended repairer or pay the difference if you want to use your own choice.
This is exactly what they do. My car ended up at a BMW dealer where swiftcover were paying labour at

Decrepitude is the main reason i'd guess. Low yearly mileage, long NCB (touching wood) and a reasonably good postcode helps. And only one SP 30 ;-)

swift cover are pants, dont go near them, they are a bare bone insurance, only good for covering old sheds.

I am with Swift and not had any issues, found the customer services polite and helpful.

Best price by far on the S2000 and had a refund on the Boxster.
