I saw that the other day...

The advert is well written so I was quite impressed with that, and also surprised. The car is not to my taste at all though :)

tiger289 11-13-2007 09:45 AM

this was featured in modfied motors an irish modding mag.

not my taste! :barf:

Bibbs 11-13-2007 09:45 AM

Seen this, it's fairly local ..

Not my thing at all ..

"A lot of time and money has gone into that".

russellhq 11-13-2007 09:49 AM

Looks like its got a flux capacitor!

lucky77 11-13-2007 09:49 AM

Was on Ebay the other week. Didnt get any bids iirc.

POS

CiderBoy 11-13-2007 10:01 AM

What is that on top of the glove box?

It may not be to your taste but that doesn't make it a POS. It has been very well done - if you like that sort of thing.

I don't. But I can at least recognise that the guy has spent time and money doing it.

:iagree:

I have seen a lot of photos of this car and it looks very well put together.

Not my cup of tea either but I am sure others will like it.

s2konroids 11-13-2007 10:20 AM

Not for me im afraid, looks like its done upto a good standard.

I think the veilside kit totally spoils the S!

Oh and a DC mainifold! haha

YiorgoS2k 11-13-2007 10:22 AM

:iagree: Of the max power styled S2000s, this is one of the better examples. Still, not to my taste either.

s2ook 11-13-2007 10:30 AM

The interior has been very well done.

I can't imagine all the added weight and 19's do much for the handling and the ksport shocks were largely dismissed as a credible suspension option by some members on here.

I'm sure there's plenty of people looking for aesthetics above function
and, overall, it's been modified to a high standard. Not for me either but it's better than some of the monstrosities out there.

rambo1 11-13-2007 10:54 AM

I seen it in pistonhead few months ago, on and off...guess nobody wants it :brokehrt: Heartbreak for the owner spending $$$$ on it

Jonsey Boy! 11-13-2007 01:23 PM

Nope definately a POS

s2k_Nut 11-13-2007 01:58 PM

As mentioned above its been for sale for months, at least 4 or5 and started out priced around 18K - considiering the mods to it (and if that sort of thing is your bag) I reckon that is a bloody good price right now ... personally I think it will sell at that price I hope so for the owners sake!

jonner 11-13-2007 11:24 PM

soulcrew 11-13-2007 11:35 PM

the only person who would want that car is the person who modded it.

:iagree: The market isnt big enough for standard cars let alone something as "unique" as that.

I think matey boy might be hanging onto that bogey for a little while longer.

(S2K4ME) 11-13-2007 11:55 PM

Sorry but that is awful!!

Yeah lots of money and time spent but surely a complete waste of time. It won't sell and it will end up sitting in the back of some garage and collect dust and that is the definition of a "waste of time"

:idisagree: It may not be to your taste but it is not a POS.

Like me you may not see the merit in the bodykit, the combinations of mods or the combination of colours.

You cannot doubt that it has been done to a high standard and the owner clearly likes it. It's featured in some car mags so at least a few people on the modified scene must think it's quite nice.

To dismiss the car as a POS is unfair when you consider some of the modified tat that's running around the roads currently.

Si2000 11-14-2007 04:37 AM

Lime green...AND red... :yikes:

Def not to my taste!

Chris Type R 11-14-2007 04:39 AM

I think that the biggest problem is the colour. I think that if it was in a more neutral colour it would be a profitable buy & part.

Crotch Rocket 11-14-2007 04:43 AM

Its not to my taste but you have to respect the effort that has gone in to making it THAT ugly!

AquilaEagle 11-14-2007 06:40 AM

A few of us have seen it in the flesh. Alex is the guy who did it - top bloke too (even if his taste in colour is 'different' )

It has to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated IMHO.

:)

I will stick to what I originally thought.

soulcrew 11-14-2007 08:46 AM

Stunning car in the flesh and the owner's a top lad

the bodyshop that built that car are currently in the throws of re-designing mine as well

Kiwi-S2000 11-18-2007 12:34 AM

What do you think it's worth in parts?

Maybe worth buy and stripping for parts and then selling the rest on??

Just a thought :thinker:

Kiwi

Fletch 11-18-2007 01:54 AM

Colour options aside...
Do you know what would really screw up those smooth lines on the front?

A forward facing number plate :egads: I would look really nasty if it had one on.

And this from a cider drinker! ;)

seriuosly though, I don't think I'd want it. But poor guy seems to have put a lot of time and thought into it and he's done a good job.

But I think if you're gonna mod your car so much you have to prepared to keep it as it'll be for your taste only and you'll never see your money back.

Kiwi

Prob not much Kiwi - the bits aren't the high end ones which would sell, and then you are still left with a green car. Its expensive as it is too.

The one to have bought and stripped was the one Gadaffi had.

Very sensible buy, he must have made thousands on it.
