MY 2001 Alarm Fobs - square fob, 2x square buttons
I've just got off the phone from a very nice lady at Hamilton & Palmer, from whom I have just purchased a new key fob. The alarm system is (funnily enough) no longer in production, but they are obliged to provide a supply of parts, pretty much in perpetuity. Unfortunately, they now have to outsource the production of small batches of these things, so the cost is now in the region of £54 per fob. Ouch. The trick, so I'm told, is to always have a spare remote in hand and programmed. If you lose the one that works, you can't then "teach" the new fob. If you run out of working remotes, it's a whole other ball game. Contact details: Website - http://www.hamilton-palmer.co.uk/ But tbh, all it has on it that's of use is their phone number... Phone - +44 (0)1732 760022 Mods, if this is perceived as naughty, posting links and phone numbers to the OEM supplier of alarms, please feel free to remove the contact details, but the rest might be of use, so please can we keep it? Much Ta. |
Not sure if one for forum favourites or here but after scrolling through pages of info on Anti Roll Bars I stumbled across this:

Oops I was looking at the wrong numbers :D
If the below are correct, id actually be going for an 00 / CR front and keep the stadard rear or CR rear, combined with 8kg springs.
| Front Rear | Front Rear Model Year | Spring Spring | Sway Bar Sway Bar --------------+------------------+-------------------- 2000-2001 | 219 291 | 393 427 2002-2003 | 246 309 | 300 396 2004-2005 | 262 278 | 300 311 2006-2007 | 262 269 | 300 311 2008-2009 | 280 294 | 354 311 2008-2009 CR | 384 343 | 392 362 Note 1: All figures are in lb/in. Divide by 56 to get kg/mm.Note 2: Edited 17Nov2010 with slight updates to spring rates per rev1 of paper |

Hardtop Fitting Kit Details The hardtop will not fit on to an S2000 without a fitting kit. Please factor in the cost of a fitting kit if you are buying a second hand hardtop. Taken from this: http://www.handa-acc...000/s2k2top.pdf - fitting instructions & parts list, this is what is needed for a Hardtop fitting kit for an 02 - the left body side catcher - the right body side catcher - left side trim brush (optional, you can modify if you want - easy to get though) - right side trim brush (optional, you can modify if you want - easy to get though) - 2 front strikers (just to make sure that they're steel, & strong enough & they are cheaper than the uk) - rear defroster switch - Sub-harness - 4 bolts 6x18mm - 4 bolts 8x20mm - 2 Rubber spacers - 4 cushion spacers - rear defroster relay - 4 cushion tapes Hardtop Fitting Instructions https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...2c7fc5ea97.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...65e5b05db5.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...09688848e6.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...07df5b4bd1.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...9b1822834b.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...8e0b0776e1.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...5a9d0adaf6.jpg Service Bulletins are issued by Honda to their dealer and service network to advise them of technical issues and resolutions. Most of the service bulletins concern service and maintenance proceedures, test equipment and so forth but some are related to specific vehicle problems and resolutions. TYIA. |
Then you need the following:
- the left body side catcher - the right body side catcher - left side trim brush (optional, you can modify if you want - easy to get though) - right side trim brush (optional, you can modify if you want - easy to get though) View my build thread in my sig as I have pics of the process. |
Unless I'm missing something, there's no TCT issues listed in this thread? Perhaps something that could be incorporated?

Looking for NTN wheel bearings (as is OE Honda fitment).
Instead of the £100 Honda are looking for these days (bearing alone I might add), I found an NTN bearing, circlip and nut for £51 delivered. http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p74...duct_info.html |
