I haven't yet no, i was going to but dont want to be throwing more money at something that might not be the culprit, could be next on the list if a remap does not fix the issue.

are we talking about a different temperature sensor? the EGT is sat on the backside of the engine near the firewall on the intake manifold, i think they are around £80 genuine

I cant for the life of me find it now, i'm sure last night when i was looking i found it for £40 but now i cant find it on Tegiwa Hendy etc. must be going mad

There's a few different types depending on which model year you got so might want to check that you get the correct one.

Have you tried using water wetter? I was on track yesterday and noticed my temps going up so I had to control my driving a bit more, push it for 3-4 laps and then back off for 1.
mate in his dc2 put some water wetter in and says it's cured his problem where his gauge would rise over halfway, now it sits where it should and doesn't move.
i don't think it will be the only thing you'll need to do, a decent radiator will be the main thing plus the oil cooler, but for the sake of £15 a bottle it could be worth a try
