I haven't yet no, i was going to but dont want to be throwing more money at something that might not be the culprit, could be next on the list if a remap does not fix the issue.

but if you find yours is due to a faulty engine temperature sensor then i will get one ordered straight away, so let me know!

You can get a temperature sensor for £10 and a OEM honda one is only £40. Would save you on the £400plus for a remap if it fixes your issues

are we talking about a different temperature sensor? the EGT is sat on the backside of the engine near the firewall on the intake manifold, i think they are around £80 genuine

Fairly expensive £73.76 https://www.hendyeshop.co.uk/sensor-...15-47193-p.asp
There's a few different types depending on which model year you got so might want to check that you get the correct one.
The one in the link is for a MY2003.

Have you tried using water wetter? I was on track yesterday and noticed my temps going up so I had to control my driving a bit more, push it for 3-4 laps and then back off for 1.

mate in his dc2 put some water wetter in and says it's cured his problem where his gauge would rise over halfway, now it sits where it should and doesn't move.

i don't think it will be the only thing you'll need to do, a decent radiator will be the main thing plus the oil cooler, but for the sake of £15 a bottle it could be worth a try
