Default Thermostatic Takeoff plate with a 1/8 sensor fittings

Basically im starting to think no one makes these as google cant find one for me.

I need to take oil away to my external cooler and find a site for a 1/8bsp oil pressure sensor.

Im not keen to T into the standard oil pressure switch thread on the block. It has already been weakened by various turbo oil feed fitments so i don't want to run the risk of an oil spray issue. That could be a HELishly bad problem (sorry)

Ive spotted on the vtec solenoid there is a bolt i could remove and use a straight adapter there however i think it may not be a good source of oil pressure.

Any ideas?

How is your oil pressure sensor fitted?

Have you got a oil filter relocation kit on your car Razz?

Nope. I've seen the blanking plates used for oil filter relocation normally have sensor bungs on them though.

Ah! It might be a safe option in the future Razz.If you do ive got a Mogul remote filter mount with a take of for temp/pressure and around 7 miles of braided hose you can have.

I doubt you'll find one of these anyway - Sensor outlets on sandwich plates go where the thermostat is housed, so generally they come either thermostatic with no sensor outlets, or non-thermo, with a sensor outlet. Other options are double the plates, so you have a thermo and an extra plate which can have multiple or single outlets for sensors, or T into the oil lines with a t-piece which can have a female bsp/npt port.

Can do any of these options if you are struggling..

Ben thanks for the offer. The cooler pipework is something I want to improve on soon so your input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently using push on hose fittings and rubber aero quip hoses from a mocal thermo takeoff
Plate to me engine oil cooler.

Glen has pointed me in the direction of a nice AN fitting that is tapped for a sensor. That looks ideal, and Infact reminded me that I do have an inline push fit sensor adaptor lurking around somewhere. Hopefully it will accommodate my 1/8bsp fitting though I think it maybe a npt!

My current setup works but isn't very pretty. I'd be well up for pricing a nice braided hose setup from Hel in the near future.
