Apologies for posting this car based thread in here but I was after a bit of specific advice!

I currently have a VX220 but I'm looking for a more practical alternative. I've been out today to test drive a 350z and an s2000 and I think the s2k will be the best option

Thing is I cant decide wether to sell my VX and the daily runabout and put the whole lot towards an S (should be about 15-16k) or spend less of that budget to get a slightly older car and spend a bit extra on something like coilovers to get the handling a bit nearer what I'm used to with the VX220.

The test drive I had today in the S was enough to convince me its a good move but I did find the suspension could probably do with being a bit firmer for me personally. Just wondered what results people had got with coilovers/spring kits and if I can reasonably expect the handling to get reasonably close to what I'm after.

I will do a search on this but if I could also ask briefly if I do go for a pre 2004 car are the main differences purley cosmetic or have there been any major dynamic changes in the s2000s life so far?
