So, all started coming together;

Primer...

Base coat.... I actually quite like this, looks like a Matt finish.

And the clear..... This was the wing that was replaced, and to be fair you would not be able to tell. Door shuts etc are spot on, and a good chunk of the rear scuttle also got chopped out.

The offending item.

Go up to see it tomorrow and start buttoning it up.

Thanks, needs a little bit of paint correction here and there but need to wait for the paint to cure a little first.

Just gave it a quick wash, looks good!

Looks really nice. I also like the matt look, would be great to see someone do that as a finished example.

What was the ballpark figure for all this work if you don't mind me asking?

2.5k - I stripped the car before hand but that included all of the work to the rear quarter which was a little underestimated.

Did have to wait quite a while for the work to be completed, but I knew that going into it.

Only problem with the Matt/satin look is the paint would look shit after 6 months as it would have zero protection! I know BMW did a nice frozen grey on the M3 previously but that needed lots of maintenance to keep it nice.

Back at home, just an entire interior to rebuild! Not looking too bad for a 20 year old!

Nice, are you refitting the front on the plinth or straight to the bumper?
