Default Toda A2 cams

I'm looking for camshaft upgrade and I sourced a 'reasonably' priced set of spec A2 Toda cams (unused). Has anyone here tried them? I noticed that there has been some quality issues with them before. I'd be interested in trying them if I my car would still idle properly and pass emissions test with the cams. Naturally, I'd need uprated valve springs with Toda cams and I also noticed this . Lightweight valves would be nice too.

A Finnish guy reconditioned an F20C (for rally cross Toyota Starlet) with Brian Crower stage 2 cams etc. but he didn't gain much over stock. I'll go to the same dyno next year so we can compare our results.

Imo toda stuff is typically and I'd be very surprised if it didn't make power, most of their stuff is good and well designed.

Do it

It being vtec means they can make them a lot more aggressive up top without affecting the idle too much
