I have used it whilst racing speed boats, not sure if it made much difference to be honest... Also it's a benzene type structure IIRC so potentially pretty harmful if you get it on your skin or breathe it in etc...

See, I have been looking at octane boosters as an alternative to Super.

Superis about 8-10p/litre more expensive than normal. Octane booster can add a valve lubricant and achieve 98RON for about 4p litre.

£3 for a 50L fill, with a tesco 5p off voucher £5.50, that's starting to make sense, but only worth it if you are going for a full tank and Tesco is close enough, the question is, can you be arsed?
