Grand cheers bud

Yusss Engine is in my possession! Very happy with it mate, clean engine, plus 1 intact knock sensor

Many thanks to Ryangeorge252 on this one, sound lad, sound advice and tips for this. Honda is completely foreign to me and a bit scarey really in comparison to vauxhall's

Slowly plodding on with this one, taking me time... Don't care if it takes a few weeks to do, I want it done right first time.

Cam covers coming off and valve clearances being sorted before going in.

Arty shot

Anyway whilst the front end was off, took the time to do some more undersealing aswell, usual procedure, rust was ground down, wire brushed, sanded, as much as possible and then degreased. Both passenger side and drivers side inner wings are done right down to the floor. Very little in the way of rust in all honesty. Just for peace of mind mainly!

Crash bar ground down and undersealed

Also Both rads were removed today, safe to say they're both shagged and half a pigeon was ingested at some point

Whilst they're out, took the time to do yet more undersealing, was a bit wet with coolant, so that was all dried up, sanded down etc etc...

Now before I go and pull this engine out, I'm wanting a bit of clarification on the best way, least disturbance method.

Correct me if I am wrong now, I have this in my head...

-Unbolt steering rack from subframe and support as necessary.
-Unbolt lower ball joint from hubs.
-Unbolt lower shock bolts.
-Unbolt anti roll bar links.
-Disconnect Gearbox UJ, and mounts
-Lower engine, gearbox and subframe as one unit an slide out with a great deal of dexterity, luck, balls, and strength?

Any bits I've missed out?

Hope you're liking what you're seeing so far

Yes i didn't find to much rust at all at the front. even the crash bar wasn't no where near as bad as the rear.

Bonnet sound deadening , i am about remove mine for re-spraying , but why not refit ? Is there any practical reason for not fitting ?
