Default TPI locking wheel nuts

Hey all,

in the continuing saga of trying to get my brakes sorted I have been thwarted this morning my the garage telling me i have no remover for the locking wheel nuts.

Strange as another company had removed the wheels a couple of months ago to free up the binding caliper...

Been to said company and they haven't got it there(although they had 5 random others that they'd 'forgotten' to give back)

Looked on the internet for tpi wheel nuts and there are loads for sale on ebay etc but I can't seem to find a website or contact details to try and get hold of a new key.

Any other way to remove them, preferably without wanging up my wheels

Cheers,

Ian.

You can get socket sets for removing locking wheel nuts.

Is yours the internal or external type? (do you slot something over, or shove it inside the nut?)

Just leave it in middlesbrough unattented for half an hour and some little pikey will take them off for you for free ( although getting the car home whilst its on bricks may be a challenge)

alternatively, when one got stuck on the Ka we welded a nut onto the top of the locking nut and removed with wheel brace... make sure to cover surrounding area of wheel before welding to avoid any burn marks...

Ha, typical I have found their website now!

Sent them an email to see if i can get a key from them if not then I'll have to try something else.

Keith, it would need to slot over mine.

Good advise Madfish, however i'd rather sort it out in a way that lets me keep my wheels!!!
