I need new track rod ends; is it ok to use pattern parts or stick to OEM?

I've literally just been in the same position, I decided in the end to go with hardrace rods and ends - I figured if I was going to be paying nearer OEM prices I might as well upgrade. Still works out cheaper than a full OEM set though.
