Maybe I was being braver than i thought or I found one with a bit of a wonky driver. I suspect the latter. If i can get the video to upload onto youtube with my pathetic connection i'll share a link.

My sister has a high spec vx220 turbo(300hp)
And it would leave the s2000 on the twisties,
Infact...when I was supercharged(420hp) it was faster upto around 80-90,and I got past her around 100ish and I was slowly pulling away.
She can also get the power on earlier coming out of corners.
Very good car,and imo better than the lotus equivalent.

i'd expect it to be way ahead in bends. it weighs 930kg and has 200bhp which is 215bhp/ton std, a decent hike on an S2 and through the corners it's lower and lighter
it did a 1'31.3 round the TG track, faster than an NSX
it was as quick as a 111R on 5th gear too

always quite fancied one tbh but as said a lot depends on the driver. I overtook an E46 a few times at Donington but had a Meriva VXR all over me (i hope that was tweaked)

Also the good majority of turbos are mapped (dirt cheap) without need for much other work if any for a stage one which packs a huge amount. Most 2.2 are supercharged.
Very rare to find a complete stock vx these days.
As someone has also said piss all over an equivalent or 'better' Elise. Was a decision between this and the s2000 but after driving a few and my little brother having a vx went for the S as it's more refined

what does stage 3.5 comprise?! It seems to be a huge thing in the vauxhall world that the mentality of the drivers can't stretch to anything more complex than tuning by numbers. Might be fast with some mods but ultimately it's still a Vauxhall... I know which one i'd rather drive any day of the week!
