Thats the bulk of the parts

The charge cooler can be hand second hand for about £800

Exhaust doesn't necessarily need to be 3" to make 300bhp.

I am assuming your mate bought brand new bits because that's shite power for the money.

Fact of the matter is the Z20LET is a far more torquier motor out of the box. Power comes on song at about 2.2K RPM and off you go. Plenty of my friends have had them. Most of them running in excess of 300bhp

having done bigger turbos, injectors and the like, that's all used parts prices I assume. without paying someone to fit them and without mapping. fact is, it's got more torque because it's turbo charged, that's not a revelation or stating anything other than the obvious. I do like the reviness of the F20C a lot but the shove of a tuned turbo...

Other than the charge cooler, the prices are brand new that I've quoted.

They're good bang for buck.

Perhaps I didn't word it correctly. If both were In boosted format, they're a far more torquier motor.

There are plenty of respected mappers about now as well so they don't charge the earth unlike the Honda scene either.

Got a lot of love for the Z20LET if you can't tell

Yup it's a very versatile engine and as you say so many people to go to whereas 10 years ago was only thorney now there's tonnes. The S scene does seem a lot more restricted for choice.
