Default A trip to keswick, noticed lots of other cars

During bank holiday monday, i had a trip to keswick with the GF for a walk around and a meal (im only 30mins away ) anyways....

We were discussing cars, and i talked about wanting a TVR (not british anymore so im not interested) when i was younger as we seen a tuscan drive past. We got on the topic of not seeing many S2000's on the road as this was one of many deciding factors on buying an S.

I just couldnt help notice the amount of Audi TT's, RX8's and normal boxsters (must of spotted about 5 TT's and 3 boxsters and no S2000's! , i still witness this 2 years on! anyone notice this?!

And to think i nearly bought an RX8, boxster or Audi TT

What's more, it seems that S2000 drivers are aware that the strange canvas thing above their heads can be lowered for fun! It seems that Audi, BMW and (some) Porsche owners haven't realised that the reason their car has a black fabric top in is because it is a temporary rain cover, not a metal coupe lid! Topless at all times, unless the footwells fill up, then it can be raised!

We went up to Fort William in Scotland via Penrith at the weekend. We did a total of 1237 miles in four days, not one S2000 to be seen!

I agree about the roofs not being lowered on other roadsters too. Mine's down most of the time, apart from when it's raining. Even then, if you drive fast enough, the rain doesn't get you

They do seem to get rarer the further north you go. Have done some touring this week around the borders, up to Edinburgh and back to Carlisle via Northumbria and the north east coast. Three days and not one S.

Called in to get some fuel on the A74 and the attendant said "that's a nice Hyundai"
