Trolley Jack & Torque Wrench Recommendations

It's about time I invest in a quality trolley jack and torque wrench for the S2000.

I have no idea what would be considered a good buy, any recommendations?

Is the Halford's Professional range up to the job or is there better out there?

Halfords Wrenches are very good.

There was a trolley jack thread within the last few weeks.

I've not used the jack but the torque wrenches are great. Used that one to re torque my driveshafts recently.

I've moved from a Laser torque wrench to a Halfords professional set recently- Halfords ones are far superior in my opinion.
Gauge is much easier to read compared to the typical wrenches that have the measurement engraved on the metal shaft and the *click* is much more pronounced.

Can pick them up for £40 if you know someone with a trade card which makes them very affordable.

Not used that specific jack but from past experience; I've never liked Halfords jacks. seem cheaply made and seen a couple pack in prematurely.

My Halfords jack is leaking oil, but that's after about 8 years service so can't complain. I might well buy one of those low jacks; it looks like a bargain. I'm sure there's better for more money, but for DIY use it's not worth it IMHO.

Both the torque wrenches I have came from Screwfix.

I picked this torque wrench up from Amazon after reading the reviews. Very happy with it, especially the price.

I bought this jack a little while back from Machine mart and it's been spot on. Low enough to get under with ease, lifts hight and it's feather light so there's no problem with sticking it in the car for trackdays etc.

I can't comment on Halfords torque wrenches as i have a Britool one. ut if their Professional range of ratchet spanners is anything to go by, you'll have no issues with their other kit

I have a halfords low entry jack, its ace.

I assume the "racing" ones are just lighter and quicker to lift?

i got one of these a while back

decent enough torque wrench, nice and cheap but feels well built and robust.

for the amount I use it, £25 is the most I would pay for one anyway.
