jeeze, snow. forgot about that. that was a nightmare last year. mildly dangerous lashing down a motorway in the sludgy stuff, just plain silly trying to manouvour in a cul-de-sac on the fresh stuff....

...ok, so i took my new rears for a lash up to the lake district this weekend and they were perfect. lots of damp leaves on the outside of corners, lots of damp road, gripped absolutely fine. i guess they just needed scrubbing in, or something. problem solved.

btw: anyone northern probably knows this road well, but, getting bored with the M6 tailbacks, i took a random backroad and ended up on the most fantastic road i think i've ever been on in this country. Anyone else been on the A573 over the peak district, to Buxton? i thought i'd died and been reborn as Richard Burns.

only without the talent.....

Uhm switch the lights on and put something heavy in the boot. I'm pretty sure the light pattern raises.....

I've carried ~50kg in the boot. The pattern certainly seemed to drop - I wasn't dazzling anyone anymore than normal. Also the edges of the pattern weren't as crisp as normal - this makes sense to me, from the covers being fixed, but the lights themselves leveling.

Luis posted some pictures of the potentiometer hooked to the rear suspension - a quick search should find that. It's only on European cars - the US cars don't have it.
