Just had a full set of PS4 fitted this morning on to my summer wheels and wouldn't you know it the weather is due to go cold again. At the moment the sun is out and it would be a shame to miss the opportunity of a top down wearing in session. Update - initial feeling on the handling is way better than the Bridgestone MZ. The tyres don't feel as crashing as the MZ's but neither are they soft. They grip extremely well on turn in and the rear stays planted. Not pushed really hard but an hour is all I had. I think I'm going to enjoy these.

I've had a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym 3's fitted to the back of my 06 car a couple of weeks ago and about 3-400 miles in .. 95XL variants replacing a pair of similar Asym2's, partnered with a set of Asym2's at the front. Finding the F1A2's to be much more expensive than the F1A3's so made the jump... I did consider PS4's but as I was only swapping rears - plenty of meat left on the fronts, and I spending a bunch on alloy refurb and other maintenance over the next few months I thought I'd keep some cash in my pocket and just do the rear pair - without taking too much risk on dissimilar tyres.

The good news is that they are at least as good as the F1A2's in terms of dry grip and handling with the added advantage of generating less road noise. ;-), and the combination of the two generations seems to work well.

Not had the chance to try them in the wet yet - but if they are anything as good as the F1A2's I'll be a happy bunny.

As things stand I'm also liking the Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy 3's (put on a couple of weeks ago).

I am liking the Bridgestone RE002 on 16's at the moment, grippy in the dry and seem to be very good in the wet. Looking to get some track time soon, so will be able to get a better feel for them there.

Nice to see people getting joy from the PS4s, well happy with mine but then I don't hoon around as much as some.

Just always feel like I could be going a bit faster with them on.

I'm looking at PS4's. All I can find for the rear is XL (extra load). Is that what you fitted?

I'm hearing rumours that the RE002's have been discontinued. I'm certainly finding it increasingly difficult to get hold of them (certainly in the 16" rear sizes). I've had 5 different local garages tell me that they are unable to get them now. Blackcircles have removed them from their site too...

Bridgestone Adrenalin RE003 - Tyre Reviews

This suggests that the RE003's are the replacements, but these do not seem to appear in the 16" rear sizes!
Any other recommendations for 16" tyres seeing as PS4's aren't available either!!
