My rears are gonna need changing pretty soon, currently running on Falken 452's all round and have liked them since I changed my alloys.
However, they appear to have been replaced with the 453, anyone had any experience of the newer tyre?
Had Toyo T1R's before but preferred the falkens, so was thinking along the lines of either the new 453 or the Hankook ventus v12 evo k110?
What say you peeps??

Hello,
Just looking at tyres for my 16s and am determined to go back to the 245/45 rear size, as the 225 size tyre (on non-S02s) really kills the handling balance IMO (I've run both in the past)
It looks like there are only two options since Goodyear pulled the GSD2 that I have used before
Toyo Proxes T1-R
Continental Sport Contact
I know the Toyos are pretty similar to the old GSD2s, with a rather too soft sidewall, but a nice progressive compound. I can live with that.
Has anyone used the Contis on the S2000?
Or should I be looking at something completely different?

I've had two different types of 225 rear on the car and hated both. I'm more bothered about the grip balance front to rear than the tyre wall stiffness or ultimate grip.
Thanks for the tip, did you notice a big change from running other 225 on the rears?
245s for me

The only 245s I've had since were R888 trackday tyres which were so grippy I didn't really get anywhere near their limits.
The RE002s really are very good indeed. You can of course change the handling balance a bit by adjusting the geo (a bit more rear camber will probably give you what you're after if you don't get on with the tyres).

Just a heads up on the Re002's.
I have bought a set of 4 for 16inch wheels from ebay from a german company ("good-wheel"). They have sent them out for £325, I think black circles are out of rears right now so there is alternate solution.
Just what is needed in this never ending winter!!!

I found RE050 MZs for decent price. I really like their steering feel and precision but dislike the lack comfort when comparing them to Asymmetrics. Which one would you prefer for facelift; RE050 MZ or Goodyear Asymmetric 2? Would it be a bad decision to mix the tyres and have RE050 fronts and Asymmetrics as rear tyres?
I'll have AD08s for track days.
