So Toyo T1-R in 16 inch sizes

205/55/16ZR16 91W
225/50/16ZR16 92W....both offered with or without rim protection..??

Can't believe I can get all 4 fitted near to me for less than £288!!! opinions??
It's a good price.
It is but really wanted rim or no rim protection opinion (in case the rim protection makes them too inflexible)?

But thanks for your reply comrade.

I run the outstanding Uniroyal Rainsport 3 on the 16" rims, much better than the RE050a particularly in the wet. I have tried some Nokians too, but not as grippy and wore quickly.

Given most people describe these as a little soft, the rim protection seems a good idea, if only for the rim protection

I still think the Bridgestone RE002's were a nice tyre in 16" and seemed to feel good to me. I'm just assuming they're still available?

Yep, I got a new set a couple of weeks ago.

Well gone with your recommendation. Slightly more expensive but seeing its wet for 340 days up here I thought best :-)

Can't seem to find Yoko AD08R anywhere at the moment, I'm looking for a substitute for my spare set of 17" wheels.

Does anyone have any experience with the Bridgestone Potenza RE070?

RE070 Available as at 05 June 16

Bridgestone's statement of performance etc. for them sounds right, and the tread pattern looks fairly aggressive and unique, and I recall them being standard fitment on a RWD performance car (was it even the S2k CR?).

I think it was the s2k cr that had them as standard. I didn't know you could get them in the UK. Maybe it's 215 you can't get.
Regarding ad08rs. I've recently got a full set in OEM sizes. The front 215s I got off eBay, the rear 245s I got from 4x4tyres. They get them from a foreign partner. They put the price up after my order because they had trouble sourcing them. They honoured my sale which I like. There is a shortage of our sizes for some reason.

Bought a set of Avon zv7 for a standard 2005 car.
I was set on buying the new Michelin pilot sport 4 due to rave reviews to replace my reo50s but only do around 3000 miles a year and they will be cracked before they've worn out so went considerably cheaper.
£310 for all 4 fitted.
Just done an Ireland road trip of 1,600 miles in all conditions and they were superb.!
