Hi all,

Ive got a pair of new front oem calipers to go on the car with discs and pads, however I've heard that the accord twin pots bolt on and should be a decent upgrade.

Therefore will I be able to use the twin pots with the new discs and pads I've just purchased? And is there anything else required to make them fit.

Thanks for the post but they are like dc5 brembo kind of thing, much too advanced..

I'm purely talking about the ch1 accord twin pots, I'll post a pic up

I have just bought a set of the Accord 2.2 type r ( ch1) twin piston calipers just waiting delivery on them, this is going to be one of my winter projects. I can do a write up when i start the project

some of the US upgrades to the V6 Accord and nsx disks (this is what i have researched ) but these are still single piston but larger and bigger pad face, like these https://robrobinette.com/S2000RB.htm

some even go to nsx or Legend calipers as these are twin piston

The advantage of the Accord caliper is both that it is a twin pot AND takes a significantly bigger pad - so your S2000 pads wont fit unfortunatley.

Also, the Accord runs a 28mm disc, compared the 25 or 26 (i forget) of the S2000, and with a different hub-caliper centre offset.

I am running Accord calipers/pads on mine, on S2000 hubs, but to get it all working harmoniously - with a disc thickness and offset to run on S2k hubs and Accord calipers, has required running an Alfa Romeo (of all things!) disc, and slightly modifiying the bore of the hub to take that disc. It was the best 'off the shelf' disc the previous owner of this setup could find, when taking into account thickness, OD, bolt pattern and offset.

Not perhaps as straight forward as bolting on the calipers to the hubs (which are a direct fit) but certainly worth it for improved stopping power on a budget, that also fits under standard wheels - both 16's and 17's

the only thing bothering me is the offset height of the disk but i will overcome that when needed

FYI I did search the UK forums and nothing came up..

See I don't have the money to go buying new discs and pads etc when I've got brand new calipers and the lot sat here.

So what I may do is sell my brand new front calipers freshly painted in red and the new rpb discs. (if someone is interested drop me a message).

​​​Then by the new year the chap who is doing this over the winter can give me a detailed how to of everything required haha. Easy peasy.

Ste-longy on here a looong time ago fitted these. Sure all he said was, ATR Calipers & carriers, some minor dust shield trimming and it bolts straight on? Honest, if you're that worried about getting it to fit, get the cheapest and nastiest pads going from your local motor factors, my old place used to sell them for like £12. Then buy your decent pads afterwards
