UK S2000 vrs Euro imports S2000
Hey!
Ok. thinking of changing my rx8 for a s2000 but after searching autotrader i found both the above, with the import being 6k cheaper but saying it is the same spec as the uk versions. Is this true? as the imports were brand new, right hand drive and 6k cheaper then from the honda dealer!
Also if any s2000 drivers can tell me sum good/bad points about the car would be great! How does having over 200bhp, r/w drive with no traction control feel like!
Thanks for all the help.

Check out the Tech FAQ at the top of the board for details of UK -v- EU cars. In short, they're 99% the same.
Like any RWD lightweight roadster, you need to treat the car with respect. Take liberties and it will bite you. That said, it's perfectly safe if you keep your inputs smooth and remember that these are not ideal weather conditions to be hooning around in a car like this.

The main problem is resale, the trade will use it as an excuse to offer you a poor trade in price and even selling privately you are limiting your market. Most people will want to know if it's a UK model or not and will be put off if it isn't. It's sad really but that's life. Similar in the way that the car costs

Hi,
I have never seen imported RX-8s available at a discount. Is that really the case?
The S2000 is a much harder, rawer, more intense car than the RX-8. Yet they are quite similar in many ways.
To clarify the price, Do not pay more than c.

6k!
I wont be discounting mine by 6k when I sell it this summer, dealers and traders are tossers over this point making a big fuss. The cars are so similar, no locking wheel nuts, no mats, no alarm, slightly different warranty.......................go find the other differences, I dont think you can!
