Hello all. I've had a search around and haven't managed to find a UK S2000 driver's tyre thread. I'm starting this for some advice for myself but if it catches on maybe we can use it as a resource in future.

Right, so I've had my car a couple months now and suspect the tyres are going to need doing in the near future. I have some questions. My car is a 2005 (55) by the way.

1. From reading other threads, it seems a fair amount of people run different tyres front to back, I'm talking about brands not size. Why is this?
2. My understanding of the correct tyre sizes for my car is 215/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear. Is that correct?
3. What load rating and speed rating are you using? Tyres with lower load rating seem to be a bit cheaper for obvious reasons but what is the standard?
4. I'm thinking about going for eagle assymetric 2's all round on my next set of tyres but are there any widely regarded better tyres?
