Hi Guys

I used to love the Superleggeras, but they seem to be discontinued, so wondered what the new ultra leggeras look like???

any pics would be appreciated.

The newly updated search function is really very good and just typing in ultraleggeras should provide all the information you need...

For pictures a google image search should suffice.

They are only available in 18" by the looks of it which is 1" larger than ideal for performance/handling IMO.

Here's some pics and there's more here and here.

The Ultraleggera's are not that heavy for an 18" and only weigh around 1.5lbs more per wheel than 16" OEM, however, bear in mind this is both rotational (the mass will be concentrated towards the perimeter of the wheel) and unsprung mass which has a more profound effect on performance than static, sprung weight. The tyres are also generally heavier due to additional sidewall stiffening.

Additionally the ride will be harsher which was certainly the case for me upgrading to 17's from 16's. They are also more susceptible to damage (kerbing, potholes etc.).

If you're upgrading purely for looks then go for it.

Just a bit of food for thought...

The only problem is you can only get the Ultraleggera in 18" to fit the S.

You could always buy & refurb some second-hand Superleggeras from the FS section. There were a set up recently.

These look like a nice mix - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=517117
