Default UN-believable.......

.... and some scrote has put a scrape in the side of my new S. Un-believable.

Didn't leave a number or anything - it was round the back/side of my cul-de-sac so no-one would have seen it, so I got nothing to go on (other than the white paint scratched into the dent on the side of my car. b*ll*cks!

Down to the nitty gritty, I'l post up pics of the scrape when I can, but basically I have a dent at the rear end of the drivers side door, and also on the rear drivers side wing - it doesn't look like the paint has been broken on *most* (call it 95%) of the scrape, but there is a bit that's gone through to the undercat (not through to the metal anywhere).

It's not a huge or deep dent, and I think that the door dent can be popped/pulled out no problem - the rear wing though I think will be not so easy; again not a deep dent, but the position is a bugger - both dents are low on the panels.

I have the 'drive-away' seven day fully comp free insurance from Honda on the car at the moment, so I guess I'll be giving them a call on Monday - I'm hping that wont be too much of a pain.

Anyone know of any really good bodyshops I can take it to in the North East London/Essex area? - I want to get the dents and paintwork ( I'm presuming the whole side of the car will need a respray) done as well as possible.

Very upset

Pics aren't great cause I waxed her up to see how much would come out, not a lot did - but now she's so shiny I can't get a decent photo hehe

Really, really sorry to hear that - just very, very bad luck

You have my sympathies mate.

But on the bright side, that's what insurance is for - especially if it's provided to you free

That is truly pish - sorry to hear about it.

On a slightly related note in the few weeks since I picked up my S I've had a massive stone chip in the windscreen and a concussion leaving me unable to drive it for a month. However these things get sorted out and you will have put it behind you and be enjoying the car sooner than you think.

I know how you feel, I had someone kick and dent one of my sills in the first month of ownership

At least Honda are providing insurance (I've never heard of this scheme before though)

BTW Make sure your Honda dealer use a proper bodyshop and not Chipsaway.
