Under Seat Sub
I miss the base in the s2000.
I used to have a 12" punch sub in the boot of my delsol, and now i really miss it. I miss the deapth and the feel of it. But i dont want to put a 12" sub in the boot of the s2k. Its a bit chav and boots to small.
I dont wana pay a fortune and these under seat subs seem ok from online reviews. anyone had any experiance?

Someone has/had an Alpine SWD-1600 under his passenger seat. Whoever it was seems to like it.

I have a combined sub and amp installed in the passenger footwell. It is one of these

It fills in the bass and sounds good to me but I am not a HI-Fi buff. Main thing is it was easy to install. I thought about sticking it under the seat but it's too big and restricts the seat on the rails. If you look under the seat there is a bit that sticks down IRC.
In the passenger footwell you can lift the carpet and remove a foam polystyrene block which frees up abit of space, pop the sub in and replace the carpet. You loose a couple of inches of leg room, but then you are not the passenger.
I got the idea from this guy

You can see the polystyrene pad in the first pic, it is just glued in place and will come out in one piece if you want to replace it later. I think it would be madness to cut the front bulkhead though. You don't need to remove all the carpet either just peel it back.

Hi,
Yep, I have got the Alpine SWD1600 and it's excellent IMO.
The bass really fills the cabin with the roof up and still works with the roof down.
I have got it under the passenger seat, I decided against the the Kenwood as it doesn't fit under the seat and IMO takes up too much space in the footwell.
Simple installation as it's self powered and doesn't require a seperate amp.
