Under Seat Sub

Why? it's the place you lose most of the sound that you want to keep in The door skins are far too thin and the trim panel isn't deadened / damped enough as standard, to say nothing of the woeful clips it uses to attach to the door skin.
If you do take the door panel off - wrap some acoustic carpet strips around the door mechanism bars and cable tie it in place - stops that bloody awful rattle you get when closing the door

I've got a Kenwood KSC SW10 behind the passenger seat, an amp powering the doors and some decent enough co-axles in the doors.
I've sound deadened the doors too.
My view is that the sound quality is only as good as the worst component, so i've made everything decent rather some bits brilliant and others untouched. The sub is plenty powerful enough, very powerful infact. I need to deaden more of the area around it due to vibrations when i have it on maximum.
ps - if you get caught with base under your seat you'll be in alsorts of trouble.

Hi folks. I have an Alpine iDA-X305 head unit with an Alpine SWE-1000 powered sub, stood upright behind the drivers seat.
This will not work for everyone, but being a short ass it works for me
