Default Undriveable after resting for an hour

Brief history:
2002 moodel with 15k miles on (I've only done 3k since buying the car in 2007)
Has been used at al for 2 years and this week I decided to get it back road legal. New tyres as it was still running original SO2, new battery and she fired up no problem so booked MOT for following day. On the morning of the MOT I started up and had the dreaded CEL which hadn't been on any time before; checked it with Scanguage and found code P0132 which is the primary O2 sensor, switched off the light and it passed the MOT no problem; the CEL hasn't reappeared since.

The car drove perfectly the 20 miles to the MOT but when I picked it up and tried to drive away, the car was undriveable in as much as it started and ticked over no problem, but when I tried to drive it, it was like the fuel or electrics being cut off but as soon as I dipped the clutch it would tick over again and never stalled. I revved it up ok and still it wouldn't drive. I managed to pull over and leave it idling for a few minutes and then it drove fine. It seems to do this now, every time it has been warmed up and then left for about an hour. If I start it and leave it to idle for a few minutes I don't have the problem.
Apart from this, the car drives perfectly.

No CEL appears in conjunction with this so I'm stumped as the car never did it before; I've done about 400 miles this week hoping that it might clear.

In anticipation of anyone saying it's the dreaded hesitation so give it a bootfull of revs......that doesn't clear it and even building the revs and slipping the clutch to get momentum doesn't help; as soon as the car starts to move the problem starts.

Bit difficult to explain but any ideas would be welcome as it gets a bit embarrasing.

Vacuum/air leak somewhere ? If it's been standing for a couple of years I'd be looking at the rubber components around the throttle, cam, etc. and checking for splits and perishing.

I'd also give the MAP an unplug, and a replug with a wiggle in case there's corrosion in the contacts.

I was going to suggest bad fuel but the OP states he has done 400 miles which would suggest that fresh fuel was put into the car.

I was going to say check the MAP sensor. Your car is dbw so it could be there's a throttle issue under load

Will the car always roll? Its not somethink like the brakes stiffening up?

Typo?

Car is 2002, four years before DBW appeared in 2006.
