Using axel stands
Okay im going to grease the clutch folk this week, an im going to buy some axle stands.
Can anyone guide me where to put the axle stand points on the chasis. Also i presume i just jack one side up and put athe xle stand on, then repeat for the other side?
cheers

more than one place you can put em but a picture speaks....
all i would say if you're doing a side at a time is do it carefully, you don't want to unseat the car from the first stand when trying to get it on the second.
and above all be careful

eSeM's picture is as good as any.
Make some pads out of some chamois or similar to put on the stand to stop it marking the paint.
Raise the car progressively if you need it higher than shown in the picture.
two trolley jacks are useful to do the front as the jacking points are each side of the car. The rear can be raised by lifting under the diff but be v.careful and have the stands in place as well.

(not so easy to get at if your car has been lowered)
