Yes, not personally, but there are a few threads on this, as well as instructions in the owners' manual.

No baby seats in the s2k - can't turn off the airbag. only front facing seats are recommended.

I've put my little boy (nearly 1) in a forward facing seat with the seat slid as far back as it'll go.

Without being too nanny - just be aware that current guidelines are rear facing for as long as possible - in an iSize (height based seat) that is 15 months. Weight based are the older versions, but still recommended til 15-18 months IIRC. That's enough Dad stuff - my kids love the roof down!

Honda strong advises against this completely but you have to (vs want to) they specify front facing only and with the seat all the way back. This is all in your owner's manual, of course. Airbag deployment with the seat facing the rear will cause significant injury or death to the child. It's irresponsible to place a child in the front seat of any car. With or without a child seat. But you can always make another one or may already have two.

When I called up Honda UK to inquire about disabling the air bag they asked me why I couldn't put the kids in the back seats ....

I wouldn't even entertain putting my child in my s2000 until she's old enough to not need a seat/booster.

If you read the manual it actually states that its not recommended travelling with a small child in the passenger seat.

Plus the fact in the event of an accident your insurance company would be over that recommendation in the manual like a rash, you know how much they love paying out dosh.
In the case of a death you would probably be on dodgy ground as it's the responsibility of the driver to ensure the safety of his passengers, could be interpreted as wilful neglect.
