Various Tyre Wear / Alignment Questions!
Hi chaps,
I noticed my rear tyres are both nearing the legal limit so need replacing very soon, which got me checking...
What's odd, is that both front tyres (205/55/16s) AD08r's have around 3/4mm tread left, yet on the passenger side front, the inside of the tyre almost looks like it has no tread / very minimal amounts. So it's probably veering on being replaced also as it has not worn very evenly at all.
To me, this looks like an alignment issue - though I happen to know the previous owner did do 1 trackday in the car. (At Combe) So perhaps it could be related to that? As the drivers side front has worn evenly, as have the rear two.
Wonder what else could be the cause of this?
So, first things first - I live local to WIM (Wheels in motion) who seem to get very good reviews everywhere.
My question is this, am I better off replacing the tyres and then getting my alignment checked and sorted, or does it not really make much difference?
is this the point I find out if my Geo bolts could be seized....? Anything I can do to help the pain? Should I try and soak them in lubricant first or is this a pointless exercise?
Once again many thanks!!

First thing I do is a geo test when I buy a car.
Get some ad08s all round and get it in for a geo.
don't bother soaking, does not do shit if seized as they will need to be cut off.

The S2000 is set up so the inner edge of the front tyres wear much more than the outer edge. This to improve handling.

(Cocked up earlier, it's actually my front drivers side thats worn odd....)
If I can work out how to upload a photo I will.....
Right so this is the drivers side, taken looking the wrong way. So the worn part is the inside edge i.e. closest to the engine. Haha.
Going to chuck the car at WIM and see what happens!

Still not sorted this out yet.
I notice becoming a member on here gets you 10% off labour at WIM. I wonder if that's worth doing just incase...
Also, is that tyre legal ATM? I've just ordered 2 rears but will probs need to sort that one soon haha, cheers
