Default Very cheap front brakes and pads on eBay

Hi guys, I'm looking to replace the front brakes on my car in the very near future. I came across there brakes one bay and they seemed very cheap? I never put my car on a track so would these brakes do for day to day driving?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-S200...item51b2cf7579

Thanks

Seems fishy to me. Why not use HEL Performance in the traders section? They do Bremtech discs for £36 I believe and they aren't too bad from the reviews.

I'll vouch for the Bremtech discs, I've got them front and rear and I like them alot. They work very well with DS2500 pads.

Is it worth skimping on brakes, best off getting quality products.

If you aren't going to track the car and understand that brake fade is more likely to happen, then I can't see any reason for not getting these.

I run similar priced brakes on my Mondeo that are similar sizes and they stop the car without trouble and have even done a few sighting laps around various tracks

I see a lot of S2000s with absolutely knackered OEM discs and pads of which these are going to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

Agree with the above. I would still however prefer to spend a little more, say £100 all in for the front discs and pads - there's plenty of sellers on ebay offering this with Mintex front pads, should be more than adequate for the road.

Now I have nothing against Mintex at all, but what makes you think simply spending more money will get you a better product. Someone on ebay might be selling those discs at twice the price and everyone will be lapping them up!

I've never had any issues with the OEM discs or pads, am I driving like too much of a pussy or something?

That seems an incredibly cheap deal on eBay, mind you I might be tempted to get them and fit the discs then put a resonable set of pads on OEM's are fine. Most of the negative feedback seems to be either pads not fitting or poor comms. If the pads are wrong/crap you could get a partial refund from PayPal and end up quids in.
