A very sad day. a long storey
Well guys, It has taken me over a year since my S2000 departed before I finally decided to put a few pictures up. It was a very sad day and is one of the reasons I currently am not running a nice car due to heart the ache of going through a very horrible situation with the accident repair centre and insurance company. The scene is one very nice 2005 GT in Moonrock that I lost control on some ice in the December 2005. The reults as you see are below, the trees and a small ditch getting the upper hand of the Honda. This is a short version ( hard to believe I know ) of what was a very long ordeal. Some of you may think I might have been picky based on the pics but it was so obvious it had been in a smash as lots of people commented on some of the defects.
It was in a bit of a state with the only thing that remained intact being the near side door and front wing which was only scratched, every panel been dented. The exhaust was bent and the rear suspension smashed up also. To me and everyone else, a write off.
In the eyes of the insurance assessor and bodyshop, not a write off. So after over 2 months of surgery and just shy of

Apart from the obvious (what a bunch of useless people!) all I can say is well done you for sticking to your guns. Not only that but the more it costs insurers to use half-arsed bodyshops the more likely they are to start using decent ones

i know it's wrong to say it but you should have driven it into the nearest tree to make sure it was written off

Really sorry to hear of your woes - I'm amazed it wasn't written off!
On the one hand, very glad that you stuck to your guns and got what you deserved (your money back etc.), but I feel very sorry for the person who is eventually going to buy this - unless they know what they're doing it's probably headed for the bushes again already!
