Default VGS Steering wheel...

Just seen on Autotrader an S2000 described as a rare VGS version (jap release only) and its has a pic of the steering wheel which is aluminium top and bottom but has a flat bottom, similar to the MK5 Golf GTI... it looks awesome! Anyone know where these are available?

I'd imagine you would have to order it from Japan.

Airbag steering wheels are very expensive. I'd guess they are easily

A quick google came up with this link showing the introduction in Japan only:

http://world.honda.com/news/2000/printerfr...ly/4000707.html

and a few posts from the US / Canadistan side mentioning that the splines were wrong for the wheel and it was Japan-only fit. Maybe a US only problem? Do we have the same splines on the steering column as the Japanese version?

I think you should try it first. I have momo steering wheel that is flat at the bottom. I still can't get used to it, feel like I keep missing the wheel when I turn. I'm going back to full circle.

That is a lot for just a OEM steering wheel imo.

It does not fit the same boss as the stock steering wheel.
Do a search in the main S2000 Talk forum.
Some of the yanks have retrofitted them but it is not straight forward!
