my first s2000 developed vibration after lowering with swift springs..fixed with spacer and still good to this day. (it now has 85k kms)

now iam fixing exactly same issue on my second s2000 on stock height (has 120k kms)...and as i was too lazy to swap cups around since i heard it didnt fix issues for everyone(or created vibration on deceleration which sounds logical if they are worn bad)

i ordered spacers too (and some proper M10x40 12.9 grade bolts...not the crap that came with spacers) and will let you know how that goes.... it might be another 70 dollar fix in the end.

One piece or two piece? Where did you buy them from?

Eibach lowering springs added to mine. 12 months later grrr sound and feel under hard accelaration started, as you have described. The solution for me was:

https://www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=HONDA&model=S2000&year=99%2B+AP 1+S2000&level1=SUSPENSION+%26+STABILITY&level2=DRI VESHAFT+SPACERS&level3=&id_product=7179

4 pieces (ie 2 piece each)
£100
don't forget torque setting and locktight
20 minutes work.

note: they do come up in the FS section from time to time so suggest you ask there in the first inst'.

first s2000 has 2 piece(cut in half) OBX brand annodized spacers ...were around 100 on ebay came with decent hardware. (but you never know) and work perfectly still years later...

For second s2000 i got very cheap (unknown/ebay/china) brand which look identical to be honest but came with crappy looking 8.8 grade bolts (even tho avertised was 12.9) but were only $49 and set of good grade bolts wont cost you more than $20... will report any issues, bit spacer is spacer unless its made of tin i dont see how it matters....

You are forgetting that there are TWO joints on each drive shaft that can fail
Check the hub nuts are tight too.

FIXED! Installed the unbranded spacers, and it drives like butter.
Also fixed my squeaky crickety shifter...i guess the vibrations were moving the whole car.

Dont forget to tighten the bolts to 80nm (60lbs ft) and recheck them after some time if in doubt.

And in dont ever use the bolts/nut that came with spacers get you own 12.9 grade!
I tried to tighten the "8.8" grade bolts that come with the spacers just to see if they work and nuts started to strip before even getting to 60nm...

Just to bring this to a close for anyone chasing a similar vibration - it was one of the diff bushes. See attached - it was pretty knackered so little wonder the diff was able to rattle about a bit!

Replaced with some Innovative PU mounts, now the drive is nice and smooth again

Also chasing a vibration under load coming from rear end. Should be, mainly, due to what´s been mentioned above: excessive wear inside diff cups and/or cracks on diff bushings. This vibration gets stronger when accelerating above 200 km/h probably next to torque peak. Car runs smooth at normal highway speed (cruising 140-160; when cruising transmission is not under heavy load).

Rubber bushings in S2000 Service Manual

Regarding what´s been mentioned in the post above I wanted to leave an image from S2000 Service Manual where those rubber bushings are located (I´m sure ya´ll pinned it by now but just trying to help). There are 4 of them and I´m going to check those, and diff cups.
