vibration under deceleration?
Hi all,
had this issue for a while and had a search on here, but couldnt find an answer. basically theres a lot of vibration when decelerating in gear, coming either from the middle or the rear of the car, my mechanic had a look and said it could be the driveshaft or diff. looking through the forum i can only see info regarding vibration under acceleration or a diff whine, neither of which cover this issue! any help appreciated. cheers |
Original 99 clutch?
That'll be why. |

the vibration takes over the whole car too, its quite substantial... when i go out later i will test if its speed or RPM dependent as some other threads have suggested |
Can you get this with worn inner drive shaft cups ?

thats the closest i could see to the issue, as its common on lowered cars too which this is. but again that is under acceleration not deceleration i think... |

i wouldnt say its the clutch, as the clutch is perfect when the car is being driven, doesnt slip or anything, and it is relatively new.
Does it do it in neutral with braking? If so it's probably more likely suspension related, whereas if it's only in gear it's probably to do with the drive train. |

If someone has swapped the inner CVs over in the past then it could explain it
