Default Replacement Shock Absorbers

After 12 years and almost 100,000 miles I feel that the shocks on my S are past their best. I've already tried fitting Ohlins, but didn't like them, coming to the conclusion that I don't want the car lowered and I don't want much stiffer springs. Having looked around the market I'm considering Koni Sports shocks. These retain the springs from the S, so ride height and stiffness are unchanged, but they do have the advantage of adjustability. However, it seems that the shocks are stiffer than standard units. Does any one have experience of these units, and if so what do they think of them?

I remember looking at Koni's, what I read is that Yellows are stiffer, the Koni Orange are meant to be closer to stock specs.

I've had the Koni Yellows on stock springs for well over a year now. Set on one quarter turn off full soft they are very similar to my original MY07 shocks. Not sure if yours is a dd or if you track it, but mine is driven every day and these have been superb. Not any significant increase in stiffness on this setting, but I did notice a big difference in handling over my old knackered 120,000 mile units. Great alternative to more expensive OEM.
