Does anybody know where the Vsa control unit is located?

Cheers

Isn't it part of the ABS module?

Yeah thats the one, just needed to know where it's located. ( under the bonnet, or behind the dash somewhere? )

Without going out in the rain I'd reckon that it's under the bonnet.?

Well your ABS unit sits in front of the brake servo so through the bulkhead in front of the driver

So they can charge a fortune when it goes wrong, and it will.

We used to have a list of all the crashes on here - "Carpers MisHaPs"

Here's an example of nine entries in 2003: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...2/#post2968942

So this was January 2004, pre facelift so without the benefit of facelift suspension and handling improvements, funny that is was after this they introduced VSA as an option. Also there were a lot of drivers not used to RWD buying s2000 and thought they were driving gods, unlike some of us who were brought up on RWD and treated the S with the respect it required. We know all the excuses "S2000 specific oil on the road" the lack of drivers using winter tyres. VSA may have prevented a few mishaps, but how many of those were due to rubbish driving and poor road and weather awareness.
I've always said VSA is not required if you drive properly, the number of times I've read "I hit some ice and VSA saved my live" well if you are driving to suit the conditions you wouldn't get into trouble in the first place. I don't exactly drive like I have Miss Daisy in the back, but I do know how to get out of a spot of bother and more importantly how not to get into it in the first place. VSA, IMO is as useful as the light they put on Fords to tell you when to change up gear.
