Water in boot - temporary fix!
I've had water in my boot for some time now and its been worse following the recent weather here in the South. I've fixed this temporarily using only black Gorilla tape, some paper towels and a bottle of water.
I found the water collecting in the bottom of the boot was coming from the following locations:
So I cleared up all water from the boot (with my paper towels) and covered the roof with water (using my water bottle!) I found the source of the water were holes at the bottom of both corners of the rear window where it meets the vinyl.
So I simply taped over the seem between the two plastic panels forcing the water to travel into the drain through the channels to the outside of the seem.
I then gave it a good soaking and so far no water has got into the boot. Only two months to go before a day trip to Swansea for a new roof!
