Default Weird symptoms

So the annoying knocking that was coming from the rear of the car turned out to be a duff drop-link, changed both and that solved it. However I've now noticed that every now and then, the steering would begin to shudder strongly and a noise is emitted from what I think is the rear of the car. It would stay like this for maybe 5 - 10 minutes, then disappear. The scenario:

1. Driving on the M3 joining on the M25.
2. Steering wheel begins to shudder, weird noise is heard within the cabin of the car.
3. Braking makes the car slightly skittish

The weird thing is, this doesnt happen every day. Its happened maybe twice in the last three weeks, only lasts 5 - 10 minutes then all of a sudden all is well

Spit balling here:

Wheel bearing
Tyres
Wheel nuts...

Have you checked your power steering fluid levels? Not many people know where to find the reservoir, its behind the block and down a little bit....

Is it only over a certain speed?
Could be wheel balance or a loose wheel nut for the shudder
Also, check your tyre pressures. I know when I had a puncture on the rear it felt very weird / skittish on acceleration and braking.

Mike, Power steering fluid levels?

Yupp, go have a look. Right behind the block you will find the reservoir

Next to the blinker fluid iirc.

Yes, the black reservoir thing at the back of the engine bay; if you don't keep it topped up with fresh electricity, the steering will stop working. I prefer the DC type.

Trunkz, check your tyres for damage, or stones, etc. I take it there's no idiot lights come on, or anything.

Doesn't it get recharged by the flux capacitor?
