Default What battery do you use ?

Guys,

After insatlling my AEM EMS my battery has taken a kicking and is giving up the ghost.

As we know the annoying thing with the AEM is that the initial turnover, is doubled, thus the starter motor needing to turn twice and work the battery harder.

Cold weather, extra strain and less use has taken its toll.

It will jump fine off some leads, but I really want, a new, more powerful battery.

What are you guys using ??

Stock mate, though when it sat in the garage not being used for a while i connected it to a CTEK 3600 conditioner and it was always fine.

I use a little Varley Red Top ....... never had a problem but again I plug into a CTEK conditioner when I won't be using the car for a while.

Right OK, cheers guys.

I'll stick to OEM then, don't want it FAILing all the time in Germany J .

I'll look into one of those CTEK conditioners for next winter then as its parked up for the deep winter months.

I think its a combination of an old battery, little use, cold weather and the double turnover.

Your AEM turnsover twice though dosen't it ???

Didn't seem to turn over any more than stock.
I did put a trickle charger on it in the winter though.
