Chuck wins ! although can you get them in the UK ? last time I ended up finding the closest being this one http://www.carlift-ramp-mr1.com/ which is fine as long as you don't need to use the space in the garage again

What car ramp do you use? (With car ramp I mean something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/XXR-PORTABLE...ords=car+ramps)
If you are using a set of those then.. ... use them to prop the garage door open

Get a set of these !!! I find these brilliant !

they look a bit scary - hydraulic leak do they just come down or is there some kind of locking mechanism?

Quite daunting when you first use them 'cos they are "big".... they have a locking mech by the way

They look small in the pic as the Jag has a BIG ass! They are 36" long roughly and the tread plate is 12" wide so the XK8 tyres fit on comfortably (about 11" wide).

The S2K fits on great and because they are only about 4/5" high when down they are easy to back onto or drive on to...

The downside is the number of pumps to get them to full height, which is high!, is about 70 ish !
This is the current version http://www.cjautos.eu/product_p/cr01.htm

But they now do a heavy duty version http://www.cjautos.eu/product_p/cr012.htm

I would love a four poster but not going to happen anytime soon unless I win the lottery and can build a taller garage! Yes, Ray, I am jealous !
