What cars do you respect on the road
When driving what cars do you give respect to?
either the case of "I'm not going to bother to pull alongside him at the lights when I know the road narrows 100yds ahead-I don't really want to race & I know that car is faster"
or/
That's a nice choice of car-I'll show extra courtesy to that driver.
I'm not takling about exotica-not your>60K Lambo or Ferrari-just the "ordinary cars"
my main ones would be:
Mazda RX8
Nissan 350Z

XJR s
Scoobys
IIIs Elises
CTRs (unless they have a passenger)
M3s (cos they are all bonkers)
Chav'd up Novas (more guts than skill and less to lose)
Ex Rally Navigators (Douglas....)
Fletch (we all know what he's like in the corners)

Other cars don't bother me really - I just drive my own way regardless.
That said, I wouldn't pick a fight with a scooby or Evo, and anything I know is faster than me I'll generally give way to.
The vehicles I give most respect to are buses, and bikes.
Buses because I use them a lot, and understand how the drivers feel, and bikers because they are almost always much faster than me.
Oddly, when I test drove the Z4, I didn't feel I should give way to anyone, and should respect no one (I'm cured now)

regular scooby's are fair game - easy meet - thye danger is that they've been modded and it's hard to tell that - avoid the sti's though.
evo's, 350z, 911s etc get respect - plus some beemer's
i've got a problem with RX8s - don't know why - thought about buying one before i bought my S - but now i just don't like them at all - too big - and stuff - dunno what - can't put my digit on it.
it's harder and harder to tell what is fast and what isn't these days - for instance i know a guy who has an old golf driver - with an audi TT 225 engine shoved in it - outwardly you can't tell a thing.
i generally try to show eeveryone respect until they do something that shows that they don't actually deserve it - which is quite often it has to be said - but i do have a realtively low tolerance for fools

Mercedes 320 CDI. At a set of lights I needed to turn left in 30 meters, but was in middle lane. Couldn't get infront of the merc!! I was annoyed to say the least. I now respect them and Golf 1.9 TDI's
