Question What could I have bent?

Came out of a tunnel on Monday and saw a largish rock in the middle of the road (one way/one lane road) and swerved to avoid it. Hit the kerb with the right front wheel at an angle. Was doing about 30KMH. Tyre burst, but when both tyres were changed, I noticed the car pulling to the right and I had to drive with the wheel turned to the left a bit. I know I've done some damage, but would anyone have any idea what kind of damage and how much I might be looking at to remedy it?

Thanks
Andrew

Get it inspected. You'll certainly need your geo doing even if nothing's bent.

My first stop would be to get a geometry alignment, it's possible you've just knocked the suspension out of spec. If the problem is still there it would be time to check for bent wishbones.

Also make sure your tyre pressures are correct.

PS Geometry check will cost you around

Start with getting your Geo done.

This should tell you if there are any more serious problems with your suspension.

If the wishbone is bent, that would mean a new front arm? Any ideas on cost for something that big?

Start with the wheels, then the geo.

Chances are, it's merely a track rod end - they are mild steel rod & sacrificial usually.

Wishbones are cast iron, so it tends to be a bit binary; they're either in one piece or two pieces!

I'd love to go, but I don't live in the UK lol. Live in Gibraltar.....

I just log into s2kuk as I live in a British colony, it only seems natural to do so.

Worse still, theres only 5 S's in Gib, so parts from a breakers are scarce to say the least lol.

Thanks for the help guys, will take the car to the stealer tomorrow and get a geo done and take things from there. Will keep you upto date on whats happening.
