I had the driver side window open and it was raining. Water got into the driver side window controls and as I was wiping it away I accidentally knocked the switch without realising.
Next tried to open the passenger window and it wouldn't budge. I thought the rain had buggered the electrics.

This question certainly shows who the first time Honda owners are...

You usually knock the switch when doing the speaker upgrade.

You learn the correct way of installing & removing the door trim panel by repeated practice...

And then you learn not to do a Havoc (see separate thread!)

Never understood the sense of that switch in a 2 seater

I can understand why you might want to stop a kiddy in the passenger seat messing with the window, but why does it disable the driver side control of the passenger window?

I made that mistake in my FTO on a road trip through France. For a couple of days I was getting out of the car and running round to do the tolls because I thought my passenger window was bust.

Not a Honda thing. My Primera has it too.

That's a symptom of modern, soppy-wet parenting:

I can understand it in a four-seater, but in a two-seater, there's a much larger child-control switch at the end of my left arm!

One could always try telling them firmly, but that is no longer fashionable, it seems.

I suppose next year, breathing will be passe too.

As it is totally pointless, I've certainly never used it and never will except by accident

What useful thing could it be rewired to operate?

Ejector seat for people who tell you to slow down?
LED under car lightshow?
Fog lights to annoy oncoming drivers?

Any good ideas?

Probably an immobiliser switch for those with Mugen ECUs; it's obviously teh last place ANYONE would look!
