S2000 is good when you have more than one kid ........ you can only take one of them out at a time which means the little feckers can't fight in the back seats.

GFs father has an M3 CSL, love driving it but like you I dont want to be seen as the typical M3 driver - either middle managers or judging by some of the young 'kids' driving round in

Avoid the M3 because people will think your a major league tw@t. The Evo's are far to fragile (considering it's based on a rally car )

The only thing interesting on your list is the FD2 CTR. It's rare, practical, it's built by Honda so won't cost you the Earth to maintain, and people will let you out of side roads. And it doesn't come in Gay boy blue

I think people are FAR too worried about what people will think of them based on what they are driving. If someone sees your car, and based on that thinks you are a t**t or a w***er, who cares? **** 'em.

Go for a car that ticks the important boxes - sufficiently practical, fun to drive, won't break the bank etc.

And is having a rare(ish) car that important? Good cars are common for a reason......

There are loads more cars than those you have listed

For example:

Legacy (not tarred with the same brush as Impreza)
M5 like mine (not tarred with the same brush as the M3)
ST Mondeo estate (not tarred with the same brush as Foci)
Monaro (versus other Poxhalls)
V8 Rover Estate (versus other Rovers)
A8 (interesting Q car)
