Default Whats to be done?

Can I get to the back of this area to stick a patch on? Or do I need to get busy with the sewing kit?

Thanks all.

I have a tear in exactly that place too, I patched it recently with a bit of roof material stuck on with glue ... no idea how long the patch will last as most seem to come off as that is where the roof folds when it is down too

I just recently had a hood fixed, equally by patching the area with a piece of roof material and having it glued and stitched.

I have some roof material and a fixed roof for sale, incidentally!

I'm after a couple of patch pieces for a black roof - how much do you want for a pair?

I got a spare piece of OEM hood vinyl (in the correct colour), from a fellow member who was having a new roof fitted, and I have used this to repair the areas you are worried about, and also to reinforce the points inside the car where premature wear takes place!

I used Unibond Repair Extreme adhesive (which someone on the forum had recommended), and after several months all the patches are rock solid!

Interestingly, when my car was in for service two weeks ago, the Service Manager noticed the patch and said, "They all go there!"

And your repair job looks pretty neat, I think I'll give that a go.
