Well, it's been a while since this thread has had any activity, but the resprayed Useful-mobile came back with a shiny new front end.
Gone it the dent; gone is the flaked paint, and the bent wheel arch liner.
Also gone:
the bonnet windscreen wiper ding (since 2005)
the bumper garden chair ding (since 2006)
a multitude of stone chips, and a careless nearside parking rub (2007).

And (apologies Mikeyk) so has my Stainless steel grille...

In fact, it was just like picking it up all over again, 1st July 2004!
Well worth

Gratuitous shiny, resprayed car piccies:

Repaired wing - from the side:

From the top:

Stone-chip free under grille:

No more black garden chair gouge mark:

No more bonnet windscreen wiper ding:

Dang - first new stone chip already

And they cleaned it; although I had to go out and rag the backside off of it this morning, to get the ice and frost off of the repaired bits, hence why it's a bit grubby.

Stonechips - Your roads mate.. I picked up a couple of stonechips on the front end and one on the screen when I was following you.

Fingers crossed I don't get work tied on wednesday.

Yep, but following an S closely down a C and B-roads in Wiltshire isn't the best way to keep the front end immaculate!

I've been especially keeping my distance from cars in front today - although the last time my windscreen was cracked was from an oncoming van on the A346 at Ogbourne St George.... perhaps I shouldn't bother!

I was almost considering PermaGuard on the front end, too
