Wheel Size
Hi
i know this has probably been asked before. But wheel sizes on a facelift car what are the nut sizes 5x120? Would 8 wide on the front be about right and 9 on the back? With offsets around 30-35? These would be on a 17.
What do people think about moving up to 18s? Would you need to run 35 profile tires?
Thanks

Floppy did an excellent thread on this or look at the Will They Fit thread in the Wheels and Tires (sic) forum.
Most who have tried 18s say they are too big and heavy and ruin the handling.

Hi Jimmy
I had 18" deep dish on my car before and below were the sizes
Front 18" 8J ET45 (225-40-18 TYRES)
Rear 18" 9J ET45 (255-35-18 TYRES)
with a 25mm drop on coilys they look great but the rear rubs so arches need to be rolled also it doesnt drive as nice as 17" so I have sold them and below is what I am running
Rota Fighters in Bronze
Front 17" 8J ET44 (215-45-17 TYRES)
Rear 17" 9J ET50 (245-40-17 TYRES)
And they are perfect they drives nicer than the 18" so IMO I will stick with 17" they are the perfect offset.
There are alot of 17" on the market Rota does alot on all different wheel design hope this helps

Cool lads, Im actually looking at Rota wheels. Id love Grid Drifts but the offsets are too aggressive as you say. On the 17s with Rota fighters do they require any arch mods?

Hi,
I have some Rota Grid Drifts on mine 17x9 ET42 all round.
245's on the back and 225 on the front.
Love the look of the grids and make the car look more aggressive. With the 9J and ET42 the wheels do poke out the arches a slight bit and on stock suspension I do get a small amount of arch rub when i have a passenger in the car and going through a dip.
With arches rolled, coilies and a small amount of camber, they should fit perfectly.
